Recent Projects & Activities

La MYNE

La MYNE is an association, a hackerspace and citizen laboratory. This independently run association was a first of its' kind locally in the growing third place movement in France. We arrived in its' second year of life in 2015, enjoying immensely the chaotic, democratic and friendly nature of its' space and growing open source community. The focus was citizen research, we adapted and experimented again with our place in this new landscape to eventually focus on living systems design and ecosystemic evolutions. Our collective work today is a collage including transformative fields in transition - we cover governance, citizenship, law and finance, information flows, benevolence and technology, as well as food, biotechnologies, artificial intelligence and systemic medicine, amongst others.

It brings together cooperators from different backgrounds, with rich and complementary, versatile and atypical skills and expertise. It is based on the culture of La MYNE, which is characterized by the hybridization of know-how (engineering, design, crafts, politics, research, organization, etc.) and the good treatment of people contributing to the Commons.

CDI Communautaire

The CDI Communautaire is an experimentation of a new type of employment contract to fight against the precariousness of self-employed workers. The idea is to create a permanent contract that is not attached to a single person, but rather to a role and a function; thus carried out by a group of several people. This project is supported by Oxamyne, a cooperative that aims to experiment with new legal and labour law tools, a secondary structure created by the Myne and Oxalis.

Lifecaring

Lifecaring proposes universal love and understanding – focusing on common points, common challenges, and complementary differences – rather than conflictualising, which is the easiest thing to do. It has a couple of important and practical side effects too: inner peace for the practitioner, increased capacity to transform people by facilitating empathy, and finally a positive feedback loop within our close environnement.

UBL Universal Basic Lifecaring

Universal Basic Lifecaring (UBL; Lifecaring - "Taking Care of Life ") is a protocol and tool aimed first at facilitating and ultimately ensuring sustainable and desirable lifestyles. It accompanies individuals on this path, both in discovery, experimentation and the sharing of resources and knowledge.

It is an Universal Basic Income that also helps having a better quality of life. This includes products, services & community lifestyle elements such as a stabilized income and access to the personalized & mutualized resources of the community: including in its first iteration and experiementation, food and health and medical. We will experiment with UBL locally, in Lyon, with the communities and resources around us.

Adaptocracy

A new model of governance called Adaptocracy. Inspired by aspects of Holacracy, as well as Sociocracy, and elements from the Commons and Open concepts.
Adaptocracy is our hands-on experiment of a self-contained, adaptable governance model.
Adaptocracy is a governance model built as a complex adaptive system, able to adapt and be used at an individual’s level, and able as well to form resilient structures.
